A long-life radiator antifreeze coolant at 15% concentration, supplied in 4 litre containers.
Engine coolant does three jobs at once: it raises the cooling system’s boiling point, lowers its freezing point, and carries the corrosion inhibitors that protect the radiator, water pump, block and heater core.
“Long life” refers to that inhibitor package — formulated to stay effective over an extended service life rather than being replaced seasonally. Concentration is what sets the protection range, so it should be matched to the climate and to what the vehicle manufacturer specifies.
Do not mix coolant types. Different inhibitor chemistries can react and drop out of solution, and the resulting deposits restrict a radiator more than a missed coolant change would.
