Ultra Gear Oil 80W-90

A gear oil at SAE 80W-90 for API GL-5 hypoid axle and differential duty, supplied in 1 litre packs.

API GL-5 denotes a high extreme-pressure additive level, intended for hypoid gears running under shock load and high sliding contact — typically the final drive of a rear-wheel-drive axle.

A GL-5 additive package can be corrosive to yellow metals, so a GL-5 oil should not be put into a synchromesh gearbox that specifies GL-4 unless the manufacturer states it is suitable.
